Matheran Hill

Matheran Hill is detected by the Hugh Malet in 1850.This is at the height of around 800m above sea level Matheran is a hill station situated from 100 km from Mumbai.All vehicles are banned here except emergency vehicles.You can go to the hill top only by the help of Horseback, by man-pulled rickshaw, or on foot.Matheran has been declared  an eco-sensitive region by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, (MoEF) Government of India.
